Our approach

We collect what Lisa genuinely needs to hold a conversation and remember the handful of things you've told her — nothing more. We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
What Lisa & Me collects today
- What you say to Lisa. When you talk with her, your voice is sent to our speech-to-text service to be turned into text, and that text is sent to our AI provider to generate her reply, which is then turned back into speech for you to hear. This happens each time you talk with her.
- What Lisa learns about you during setup. In your first conversation with her, she asks what to call you, a little about the people in your life, and who to contact if she couldn't reach you. What she learns from those answers is kept so she doesn't have to ask again.
- Your emergency contact's name and number — but only the one person you actually choose, and only after you've confirmed it's them. See the next section for how that works.
- Optional Lisa Vision data. If you pair a camera phone, Lisa services receive camera status, room information, selected scene images, events and supported event recordings. Live video and permitted recordings are available through the household's camera-access controls.
- Medicine details you choose to enter. Label scanning sends selected bottle images to the label reader. Medicine names, strengths and directions are saved only after confirmation. Manual name suggestions send the typed drug-name query to the National Library of Medicine reference service, not your household identity or directions.
Selected images can also be sent to the configured AI image provider for label reading or event descriptions. The current integrations include OpenAI and DeepSeek; the provider used depends on the enabled feature and configuration. Exact provider retention and data-handling terms require review before this draft is finalized.
Lisa Vision: cameras, consent and sharing
Vision is optional and uses Lisa's own household, pairing and media services, separate from Reevir Security. Camera phones connect to the room you choose through a pairing code. Use only devices and spaces for which you have permission, and obtain appropriate agreement from the senior and others in the home.
Caregiver connection, safety-contact authorization, SMS/push consent and camera access are different permissions. A connected caregiver is not automatically entitled to view a camera. Explicit authorized exports can create event links or copies outside Lisa & Me. Anyone with an active share link may be able to view that event; downloaded or forwarded copies cannot necessarily be recalled.
Pause and Privacy settings govern new capture. They do not automatically erase previously captured media. Browser cameras require the camera page to remain open in the foreground and the phone awake; disconnected devices cannot provide continuous coverage.
How your emergency contact is chosen
When you tell Lisa who to call if she can't reach you, the app searches your phone's own contacts to find that person — that search happens on your phone, not on our servers. Your full contact list is never sent to us. Once you tap to confirm which person you meant, only that one contact's name and phone number are kept by the app, so Lisa can refer to them by name and the app knows who to reach.
Where things are processed
We rely on a small number of outside services to do specific jobs, and each receives only what it needs to do that one job in the moment:
- Deepgram turns your spoken words into text, and turns Lisa's replies back into speech.
- Anthropic (maker of Claude) generates the words of Lisa's replies from what you've said.
We don't share what you tell Lisa with anyone for marketing or advertising purposes, and we don't sell it. Legal review should confirm and formalize the specific data-handling terms we have with each of these providers before this policy is treated as final.
What we don't collect (on purpose)
Pairing a camera does not authorize access to your full phone contact list or give every caregiver access to your home. Features can process sensitive information, including medicine details you enter and images from your home; choose what you share and who is permitted to access it.
How long things are kept
Lisa uses both device storage and household-linked server storage for enabled features, including profiles, confirmed medicines, caregiver connections and Vision media. Closing the app does not erase these records. Media access, expiry and retention depend on the relevant feature and configuration; exact retention periods and deletion procedures must be documented and approved before this draft becomes a final policy.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards for information while it's in transit to and from these services. No system is perfectly secure, and we'll notify affected users as required by law in the event of a breach.
Children's privacy
Lisa & Me is not directed at or intended for use by children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
An early, growing product
Lisa & Me, caregiver connections and Vision are being tested. AI observations can be incomplete or mistaken and are not medical diagnoses. Safety check-in capabilities are being validated separately. This draft still requires legal and provider-data-handling review before publication as a final policy.
Changes to this policy
We'll provide notice of material changes to this policy before they take effect.
